The material that has been requested will help kids learn without even knowing it!! What a great way to encourage kids to advance their knowledge! Lego, puzzles, art, math technology, and STEM material will give the kids the resources they need. I have used centers for many years with success. I previously purchased the current material and it is now worn out, lost, or broken. It all needs to be replaced.
Kids learning through games is a great way for them to learn problem solving skills!
The Lego center and Art center is used to help kids be creative and also follow directions of the examples shown. Kids are able to fell a sense of pride when their project is completed. Often times, the kids want to display their finished product on my desk.
The students Love the puzzle center. It is used as a tool to help kids develop their problem solving skills. I also use it as a competition to see how many puzzles we can finish within the school year.
The technology centers is used to continuously challenge kids to learn higher order thinking skills. The technology give the kids resources outside of the classroom walls. Students get excited to "play games" even though they are really doing math throughout the time.
I have invested my money into my classroom for many years. These items are too expensive for me to continue to replenish, and my school can not pay it either. Without donors like you, these classroom centers could go to the wayside. Please consider giving my kids the opportunity to learn through fun and challenging centers.
