Hi all! I am an elementary school art teacher in Silver Spring, Maryland. I love my job and I love my students, and want to create the most welcoming environment I can for my students when they come to see me for art. Unfortunately my school was not able to provide a carpet for my classroom, and so my students have been sitting on the tile floor when they first come into class and I introduce a lesson. I cannot afford to purchase one myself and another teacher suggested I post something on this website! All year I have been calling the front of my classroom the "invisible carpet", but it would be a huge asset to me and to my students if they had a more comfortable place to learn.
