I am a second grade teacher at Presumpscot Elementary School, a Title I school located in the heart of Portland. Our school is made up of diverse learners from around the world. Many of my students are refugees and asylees who come from war-torn parts of the world. Others are native Mainers who struggle with generational poverty. Every one of my students comes to school everyday excited and eager to learn. Expeditionary learning is our school learning model.
