鈥淭ell me, I forget, show me, I remember, involve me, I understand.鈥 -Carl Orff In Orff Schulwerk classrooms, children begin with what they do instinctively: play! Imitation, experimentation, and personal expression occur naturally as students become confident, life-long musicians and creative problem solvers. The Orff approach to teaching is a model for optimal learning in 21st Century classrooms. The instrument library at my school has many broken or missing pieces. I would like to fill out the library so students have access to quality instruments so they are free to create their own music! By obtaining these three instruments, more students will get to play instruments simultaneously. With these instruments, students will be able to harmonize known melodies, they can improvise their own ideas, and they can create their own melodies and harmonies.
