Inner city students from more than 60 different countries learn in this music class! In my music class, grades 9-12 explore topics such as jazz history as it relates to American history, music theory, world music and the impact music has on our society. Many of the students in our school are political refugees and are overjoyed to be in school. An LCD projector in class will allow students to view material outside their textbooks, take notes more clearly, and present their own ideas and music compositions to the class. This one item will make one big difference to countless underprivileged students.
