My students are three year olds who are technology obsessed! They love anything interactive and activities that they can do independently. They are at that age where they want to be able to use technology on their own, but still need help learning the basics. They need to know to use technology as a learning tool and not just for games that do not support the cognitive learning.
The students I work with come from lower income families and are registered in a Head Start program in Newark, NJ. They want the same materials and supports that most other classrooms get, but since there is not as much money in our budget we can not afford them. My students are smart, loving, and deserving of the materials needed to help bring their learning to another level.
