My students use whiteboards on a daily basis for math practice, but many students cannot afford to buy markers, so I let them use mine. This is why I'm asking for markers. The same is true for Post-Its, which they use as they read to facilitate their reading comprehension. These two items alone make such a difference in improving their math and reading attainment, helping to close the achievement gap.
Measurement tools, such as rulers and protractors, will help my students grow in math, and cardstock and ink will help me as their teacher prepare flashcards and posters in bright, warm colors!
