Children spend the majority of their school day sitting in a chair. Wouldn't it be nice to give them a chair that allows for them to move?
Studies show students are more alert and focused when moving around. When they have the freedom to wiggle with flexible seating they also distract their peers less. This opportunity will not only increase their motivation to learn but also their success in the classroom.
My math intervention students only have 45 minutes a day of extra support to try to catch up to their peers. This time would be optimized if they were given the best tools to help them focus and a wiggle chair would help them do that.
And as a side benefit, it is really good for their posture!
