Many of my first grade students are excited about learning but were never given the nurturing environment to foster a love for learning. These children need to be shown how to find joy in a good book or activity. Flexible seating will allow my students a less rigid approach to learning.
With Flexible seating students are more engaged and eager to learn. Much different from their home lives, they will have special choices in the room for them and their enjoyment. When fostering a love for learning it is important that one feels comfortable and joyful.
By funding my project you will help provide a loving and nurturing environment that fosters independence and choice. I want my students to feel comfortable in their learning space as well as proud of it. I want to offer them something I know they do not have at home. This environment will also help meet the individual needs of all of my students.
