Hello friends! I am a 3rd grade ESL teacher (now known as English-as-a-New-Language or ENL) at the International School in Buffalo, NY! Our school is the hidden gem among our other schools since our students come from all around the world. We are home to more than 1,100 students from over 70 countries, speaking over 44 languages! Some of our languages include Arabic, Somali, Nepali, Karen, Burmese, and Kiziguwa. I love my students like they are my family :) Over the years, I've come to know the varied refugee populations that are being resettled here and have learned that their diversity offers a multitude of strengths into the American workforce and society. However, when families with children are first being resettled they need schools provide a little extra love and support. That's why I'm here! With your consideration, I'd love for you to help us learn and grow.
