This project will directly affect the learning of not only the special education students in my classroom but also the mainstream students as well.
In an effort to reach all students on a developmentally appropriate level, it is imperative that our Kindergarten classroom meet the needs of all our students. We need a Sensory Play Table with Sensory Sand. We will use these materials to fish for sight words and to fish for letters to make words. These materials will allow me to create multiple ways for students to take a sensory break throughout the day as well. These materials create a space to have science investigations and, most of all, a way to play as we learn!
