I am asking for supplies to help assist the special needs students in our classroom. We have a large population of students with ADHD and a stand up desk can be essential in their learning. In our school we have 85 minute blocks and being able to sit through these classes is extremely difficult for students who have ADHD. These "spirited" children are many times misunderstood, and there moving around and inattention can be seen as unmotivated and uninterested. Have a stand up desk, where they can allow their bodies to move and not have to stay seated the entire time can be a life saver. I also requested some other supplies and books on how to best assist these types of students; I think these will be extremely helpful when working with the Regular Education teachers to understand these at times, challenging students.
