Students in my theatre class will take turns reading the various roles when we read the The Tempest and then act out scenes from the play. Because the No Fear Shakespeare books have two versions of the text, students can perform their scenes using modern English or be brave and attempt Shakespeare's language. Either way, the students will develop an appreciation for the beauty of Shakespeare's play. After we act our scenes, we will watch other actors performing scenes from the play and discuss the choices made by the actors.

About my class
