These supplies will be used throughout the year on a daily basis to help my class learn and play. Some are basic school supplies such as pencils, highlighters and paper. The others are geared toward classroom engagement, organization and recess time equipment.
Students will be using these supplies for engaging lessons using various supplies that are necessary for learning and working together. They will be able to have the opportunity to use dry erase boards for math lessons to work out problems as a whole class and show each other their work. Students will be able to have a place to sit during our morning meeting and a reading corner with the rug we have ordered. I will be using the printer and paper to print out worksheets for centers and copies of book pages so students can follow along with different lessons. The easel and post-it pad would be used for direct teaching time and for students to show their work in different parts of the room and small groups for all subjects. Both the mailbox and pencil pouches would help organize students' work and pencils would would allow for more learning time.
Students will be thrilled to have recess equipment that is scarce at the school and so necessary. Students will be able to play organized games with basketballs, footballs, jump ropes and flags for football. So we can easily transport these items, a bag will be helpful since we are on the second floor and the ball locker will keep them safe. These students deserve to be able to play and grow socially with outdoor activities and basic supplies. Thank-you for every donation.
