Students need a wide range of books, and read for a wide range of reasons. Included in this project are books to engage my youngest students, both read-alouds and books to engage them in their pursuit to learn to read (in both English and Spanish). I have books in Spanish, and bilingual English/Spanish books because Spanish is the first language for many of my students, and this helps them share books with their parents. All students need books that they can relate to, see themselves in, and want to read. The books here range widely, from laugh-out-loud books to books on insects - and I know those will be used in attempts to make me squirm! This project will help stretch our limited resources further, and enable me to get more resources to more students.
