Students are spending an increased amount of time on computers in the classroom, which has especially become an asset to English Language Learning (ELL)students that use specific programs that would teach them the foundations of English. While we have an ELL specialist, it's difficult for one teacher to help all of the students of the school that consists of about 30 different languages and new students (frequently refugees) continuously enter the school. These computer programs alleviates that problem and becomes significantly helpful with headphones. Students will gradually increase their understanding of English to help them access fifth grade academic language. Other students benefit as well when they can have access to literacy programs that reads to them, thereby modeling fluency while enjoying the rich world of storytelling. Additionally, the stool provides a level of focus for students who may not be able to focus as well sitting sedentary. Focusing on differentiating learning for all students will benefit on their focusing on their learning.
