Having iPads will empower my students and help create interactive learning in my classroom. Students can use their iPads to access a learning program called Imagine Math which is designed to meet each student's individual education needs based on where they are currently.
My students will be able to access apps that reinforce skills and enable higher level learning appropriate to the multiple intelligences of my students. An iPad helps students who are kinesthetic and visual learners open up the doors of education and individualize their learning experiences. My students will use the iPad technology to bridge the gap between the worksheets and PowerPoints of a traditional classroom and the creative hands-on touch screen interactive lessons in mathematics of a modern day classroom. An iPad is a tool that will help create more authentic learning experiences in the classroom as well as build twenty-first century skills that our children need in order to be successful in a quickly evolving technical world.
With an iPad, Kahoot! is one of the many free online interactive program that can be used in a classroom to allow students to follow along during guided practice with an interactive questionnaire during a lesson. With an iPad, students can also download apps for various math practice skills for a math center which would allow me to have activities for both my highest performing and my most struggling students.
