About a year ago, I took out the majority of the tables and chairs in my classroom (all but room for 8) and incorporated pillows and bean bags. The students are more alert, focused, and discipline issues have gone out the window since I allow kids to sit where they prefer. I have some that fidget a lot on the floor and feel that a rocker or two as an option would be good for them and possibly therapeutic. High school students are hard on bean bags and many of mine are flattening. I would like to replace them or at the very least get new filler for them, so the kids can sit in comfort.
