All the materials I am requesting will help create a warm and welcoming environment that my students need. My students are in constant need to help them regulate their feelings and being able to meet their needs where they currently are behaviorally. Changing the environment and tools they are using is key in helping my students. Having the flexibility to give them a safe and comfortable place to learn will help them become more successful. Many of these tools will assist in helping build collaboration skills while meeting their sensory needs for movement. The SitWell Adjustable Stools and Exercise Stability Yoga Ball chair will allow my students who are always moving/fidgeting, the ability to sit while getting their wiggles out. The Convert-a Bench will allow students to work with partners or we can convert it to a small group table. Some of my students prefer to learn standing and the bar table will allow them the height they need for standing but also can give them an alternative "fun" seat to do their learning. I also believe my students need the flexibility options for floor sitting. Sometimes my students need to sit on the floor where they can spread out to learn. The large rug, Go Anywhere Chairs, and Laptop stands give them extra comfort for floor sitting. Most of these items can move around my room which will allow more flexibility in where they feel they can be more successful.
Having the ability to give my students choices in their seating will bring excitement to my classroom. My students behaviors can interfere with their learning. Learning can be an avoidance behavior for them. My students thrive with choices and I can't wait for them to have their options for seating in my classroom!
