The goal of this project is to provide each student enrolled in this year’s art classes with a sketchbook. The sketchbook is a highly valuable and versatile tool for students. It can be so much more than a simple collection of drawings. It is the perfect space for visual journaling and personal reflections, a place to record the day’s assignments and a place to take notes. Our sketchbooks will be used to capture and measure growth throughout the school year, by blending journaling with the artistic process. The completed sketch book becomes a time capsule containing all the process and progress made and is a collection of connections the student has made during the year.
