I teach Environmental Science to a group of transient students, many of whom have parents in the military and deployed over seas. The stress of their daily lives can become overwhelming, and I strive to be a place where they can feel comfortable and learn. The topic of environmental science is close to my heart and one that each student should learn. It is a topic that is very visible in the news and will influence our government and decisions signcificanlty in these students' lifetimes. I am excited to encourage their learning about the environment and the complexities within it.
