I've been a Speech Language Pathologist for 20+ years and currently work in a large elementary school with approximately 600 students in grades Pre-K through fourth grades. Many of my students have some degree of Autism or a Specific Learning Disability. Most do not learn in the traditional manner and struggle to meet the demands of the rigorous curriculum of general education. They are all unique but struggle to effectively communicate with their teachers and peers. My kiddos are great and I want to see them succeed and prosper academically as well as socially.
