Alternative seating choices for my students is a must! My students are full of energy, most have ADHD!
They learn best when given ample opportunities to get their energy out. Yet, every day, they are required to sit in hard plastic chairs at their desks, crammed into my small classroom, with little opportunity to use that energy. The materials I am requesting will help me restructure my classroom so that my students can choose a seating option that meets their individual learning and movement needs.
They have the need to move while they read, these stools and balance balls will give my students opportunities to move while working. Giving my students the opportunity to choose the type of seat to work at will increase their motivation to learn, as well as improve their understanding of themselves as learners.
