Students will each have their own carpet square when we do whole group instruction on the floor.
It will teach them that it is their own space. Students in kindergarten are just learning about personal space and there is not a lot of personal space when we gather together for whole group instruction because of the small space we are in.
We will be able to put the carpet squares away and utilize the space for more than one activity. There will be more room to move around in the classroom and learn through movement, collaboration, and experiences. So please help my kiddos have this advantage in our classroom!
