I want to maximize my students' enjoyment at school! I do believe learning is fun when students' success rate is high. For 2nd grade, they need a lot of hands-on experiences. For math, I'd like to purchase some board games where students will count, group, predict, and strategize. Board games are great resources in the classroom because they teach students to consider and follow rules, detect patterns, plan and recognize outcomes. For science, I'd like to purchase products such as Model Magic and paint for students to make insect sculptures, showing that insects have 3 body parts and 6 legs. I'd like them to play with magnets and feel their magnetic force. I'd like them to know what happens when they compost and practice reducing, reusing, and recycling. Please help us learn and have fun at the same time!
