At the present, we have no special or comfy seating to read or breathe in our room. Sitting or laying on the floor is not welcoming and can be dangerous with three adults and 15 students walking around.
Bean bag chairs would make reading even more exciting and will make the reading center a desirable place to spend their time. Puppets, repeative stories, and storytelling pieces make books and reading become alive and inviting into the adventure between the pages. Having a listening station equipped with headphones will let the students independently engage in books in a positive and rewarding experience.
My hope is that my students take their love of reading home and fill their lives and their families with stories they know and love.
