I teach in the a self-contained special education program for students kindergarten to 2nd grade. We blend with a general education first grade classroom and do many activities together! Once a week we have library, music, PE, Friday free choice and art together. We also spend time together everyday for calendar and star of the week. They learn empathy, compassion, and kindness through this program. Currently, I have 5 kindergarteners, 3 first graders, and 1 second grader.
