I teach ninety-four 7th and 8th grade students at an urban, high-poverty public school in Richmond, Virginia, where 100% of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our school strives to provide a safe, welcoming, and challenging learning environment for all students.
My students are curious, incredibly resourceful, and FULL of energy. I love seeing them engage in hands-on activities in our science classroom and taking charge of their own learning.
Despite the diverse challenges that my students face, they show up every day ready to learn. I am committed to bringing them learning experiences that are relevant to the world around them and will give them the skills to succeed as global citizens.
