I teach a class for mild cognitively impaired high school students. The supplies from this project will be used to develop a small business. Students will make cat toys with the art supplies and these items will be sold district-wide and at local businesses.
With this project, these students in Special Education will learn employability skills, financial literacy, and reading/math skills. Financing this project will help pave the road for independence for my students. It will also improve social and emotional skills of these students through interacting with local businesses.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
