Welcome to the amazing world of kindergarten! I teach in an inner city integrated elementary school. The school has approximately 650 students ranging from pre-school through 6th grade. 84% of our students are classified as high needs, 45% are ELLs and 34% are special needs. We house one of our districts Autism Programs. Our kindergarten classrooms provide all our students the opportunity to learn in a least restrictive, yet most challenging environment. There are three types of kindergarten classes; a substantially separate, a -day inclusion, and 3 regular education classrooms. All of which support the diverse needs of students. I am blessed to be teaching these amazing students.
