Welcome, First, I wanted to start out by sharing that I think it is truly remarkable that their are such good people in this world who support classrooms similar to mine. To know that their are people in this world who would be willing to give without expecting anything in return brings tears to my eyes. I teach at a high poverty school in the heart of downtown Des Moines, Iowa. I've been lucky enough to spend my days with remarkable young kids who continue to overcome their circumstances of life daily. Across the street from the school is a government subsides housing which is home many immigrants and generations of people who have lived in poverty.(It's also home to my students). My ultimate goal for my kids is to allow them to see that they have the chance to make a change and live an exceptional life. Thank you for showing your support and love for a very deserving bunch of kids. With love,
