I am a brand-new, first year high school teacher. I teach biology to 10th graders. The previous teacher who used my room left me with very limited supplies to work with. Unfortunately, a great portion of my students are coming from low-income families. I want to provide the tools and supplies to help them learn.
My students and I are a team. From day 1, I have emphasized on working together to reach our goals. I want my students to have all the supplies they need to continue to build the team and share their ideas.
One of the basic supplies I need are whiteboard markers. We will be using group whiteboard and markers to present the results of our ADI (argument driven inquiry) labs. I hope that getting the basic supplies would be the foundation of great discussions and discoveries to come.
