This project will give my students the opportunity to meet their goals using age appropriate materials. For my students who are learning one to one correspondence, dollar bills can be used to teach this skill. Additionally, a cash register would give those students who operate it valuable employment skills that they can take with them when they enter the work force.
From learning money identification to how to operate a cash register, this project will reach students at every level. And, it will help my students feel more independent and confident with the skills they will learn from this project.
