The materials being asked for will benefit my students in allowing them to explore and learn in a different way, dance. We have started these dance classes in a four wall classroom and eventually, hope to evolve it into an actual dance room. We are installing mirrors and fundraising for a floor that will not cause as many injuries as the marble school floor we have now.
With huge expenses we have to fundraise for, there isn't very much room in the budget to supply students with textbooks, class décor, and/or costumes. That is why we have started this project. As their teacher, I want them to see they are worth the world and capable of the same dance experience others can afford. By funding this project, you will be bringing smiles to many students who haven't been fortunate to experience the ability of expressing themselves through music and not a technological device.
The youth of today has no idea of what it means to express themselves physically and verbally. Give them the chance to explore dance as a form of expression, an outlet, and to support a healthy lifestyle through physical activity. The project picture is proof of the little we have. Please help us in growing the experience for our students.
