These STEM Tubs will give my students opportunity to explore, create and engineer all kinds of projects using magnets, building blocks, gears and connectors. The goal is to create an environment of active learning. Not only through books and technology, but hands-on resources that will help to instill a curiosity for science and engineering. I want to encourage my students to pose questions, explore solutions using not only their heads but their hands to problem solve.
These materials will help to facilitate student centered lessons where they will be able to engage in questioning, collaboration with peers and problem solving with hands-on tools. Students will discover how things work and be able to share ideas with each other and enjoy the process of creating and using items found in the real world.
All students will be able to experience the wonders of engineering and science through these materials.
