High school biology students face a number of challenges as advanced placement participants. In fact, I believe tackling these challenges and improving instruction impacts student performance. The purchase of the review textbook: 5 Steps to a 5 on the 2017 AP Biology Exam will help students meet the challenge of reviewing for the AP exam and improve their learning. As a matter of fact, our students have learned strategies and techniques from this book that help them to engage in activities and discussions that are relevant to their needs and that instill within them a sense of self-confidence and efficacy. As a result, I believe this review book will immeasurably add to student learning practical laboratory work and Advance Placement test preparation.
It is my firm belief that it is the role of the educator to facilitate learning and to bring out the best in every individual. In fact, I believe the strategies and concepts from the review textbook: 5 Steps to a 5 on the 2017 AP Biology Exam will help me to facilitate learning and bring out the best in every individual. In my opinion these lofty goals can be accomplished by rigorously and creatively studying, evaluating and if the need arises modifying the teaching process in order to help students build on past knowledge and facilitate the development of new knowledge. This requires that AP instructors be highly-qualified specialists within their chosen field, carefully study and implement up-to date teaching practices and provide greater access to wide variety of learning materials. As a result, I view each student as an opportunity to improve myself and my teaching practices so that I may better facilitate learning, contribute to the development of the student as a whole and bring out the best in every individual.
