Having this alternative seating will give my second graders a productive and comfortable space to meet and work. These non-traditional chairs will help the students be more attentive, more comfortable, and allow for some movement during class. Having this option may help support balance and posture, they also allow students to bounce slightly, should they wish to, for better comfort or to release some energy and anxiety. As an educator, I understand that my students not only need subject matter, but an environment that is exciting, more comfortable, and fosters learning. I believe that adding these wobble chairs into our classroom, will not only allow for movement and seating options, but also encourage creative thinking.
