My students have diverse needs that make attention and focus a challenge. Our school is over 50% free and reduced-price lunch, so many of my kiddos also come to school with the heavy weight and trauma that often accompany poverty.
Our resources are limited and our class size is large, but I would like to create a space for them that facilitates their learning and makes them feel comfortable, safe, and ready to learn. These wobble stools will give my kids an outlet for their wiggles so they can concentrate better. The books, pillows, and bean bag chairs will make reading more inviting and comfortable than when they are at their desks. Our library will be more robust with Spanish language options, and the bins will help us make our growing library organized and engaging.
