School can be a hard place to be. Whether it is your first experience in a school setting, relationships with peers or not having the words to describe your feelings.
This project will create a place for my students to cool down and calm down when they are feeling frustrated, confused or sad. The sensory fidgets will help with a cognitive shift in their brains. The bean bag chair will help to create a cozy spot.
The different tiles can be used in a calming way to watch the colors mix. These can be used with hands or feet. We will put two on the wall and two on the floor so the students can use them in different ways.
The ooze tube timers and will allow the children to have a limited time in the safe space and give their minds a place to go and calm down in. The stress relief balls can be used to to squeeze when feeling frustrated. Water beads are a great item to use in sensory bottles and sensory bins. I like to use these in the safe space.
This project will mean the world to me and my students!
