Students will use the legos to manipulate and learn new math and science concepts. Third grade is the beginning of new foundational skills. The best way to teach this is through concrete learning being able touch and move objects to help their understanding.
They will use them to understand multiplication and division by creating areas, and equal groups. They will compete in creating objects that are in motion stay in motion. They will also be able to create a seen to use to motivate their writing. We then take pictures of their seen and post them with their writing in the hall.
These are just a few things that students will be able to do with their new lego set.
