The students that I teach are good kids that happen to live in an underprivileged neighborhood. The students in our population are living in about 90% economically disadvantaged homes. Our school, and overall district, is usually in need of supplies. Keeping technology up to date and working can also be difficult.
I want my students to be able to succeed in their education with the necessary supplies that other districts have easily.
Every student deserves the same education, no matter their family's economic status in life. Most of the students want to do well, but lack the support from home that they need. I hope that with generous donations we can eliminate some of the disproportion in school districts.
