At our school, 4th graders study the cardiovascular system! We learn all about the functions and systems of the heart and lungs. To bring this study to life for my classroom of scientists, I would like to provide them with the opportunity to see/touch a model of the heart/lungs up close, make a model of a lung, and create a paper "chest vest" of these organs. I want my students to have the opportunity to listen to their own heart, measure and take data on their pulse, and dissect a sheep's heart! With these hands on learning activities, I hope to inspire future surgeons!

About my class

At our school, 4th graders study the cardiovascular system! We learn all about the functions and systems of the heart and lungs.
