In our school, there are not enough funds for every student to have access to technology at their fingertips. I would like to give them access within our literacy small groups to practice their skills and become proficient in the language.
We would like iPads in our classroom to use for various apps and websites; part of our literacy time will be spent reading independently, and I would like some of my struggling readers to be able to listen to books. In addition, my school uses Lexia, a literacy resource to help students achieve reading proficiency. Ideally, they should be getting on this site a few times a week. Without technology in the classroom this would be impossible. I would also like my students to be able to practice typing.
