I have 32 students for science. I want to help Earth's Surfaces come alive! Instead of whole group teaching, I want to create science centers. To do that, I need storage crates so that I can develop hands on centers for six groups of 5-6 students each.
I want to engage my 5th graders with hands-on science activities! I plan to have all manipulatives needed for each experiment in individual containers.
The sand and magnifying glasses, in addition to the storage crates, will be the beginnings of weathering and erosion stations. Additionally, the two books that I would like to purchase will increase students' background knowledge. These science experiments will help increase students' work with the scientific process as they explore and question how weathering and erosion change the Earth's surface. They need to physically see how building up and breaking down of Earth's surface changes the physical land features.
