My students require flexible seating, objects to reduce frustration and stress, and equipment to use outdoors to improve gross/fine motor skills. I have been challenged with the fantastic task of managing numerous behaviors, as well as academic goals for students who have not had peer models in over a year. I have found that implementing physical activity, while promoting social and behavioral skills, has helped my students re-socialize and communicate more effectively. As well, we are still working to consistently follow rules, whether they are game rules, health and safety rules, or classroom rules.
