As an Expeditionary Learning school, we integrate our expeditions into our learning of math, literacy, social studies, and science with hands on and real world experience through experimental and problem-based learning. Our Expedition this fall is From Here To There. In this expedition we are learning how people get from here to there and who drives the different types of transportation in our community! But how can we successfully learn about these topics if we do not have varied materials relating to it? My students deserve to have materials that will aid them in their learning, and further their love of learning! Your generosity can ensure that my preschoolers are able to travel in their learning to their fullest potential. The bus and airplane sets, transportation and community helpers file folder games, vehicle felt board set and ten frame trains will help me to engage my students in developing their skills in counting, social-emotional development, letter recognition, language development, and understanding the world around them. My students will learn various curricular skills through hands on play and small group work with the transportation and community helper theme boxes, vehicle counters, on the go bingo, and community helper puzzles!
