"To forget would be not only dangerous but offenssive; to forget the dead would be akin to killing them a second time." (Night, Elie Wiesel) In an effort to provide my students choice and a fuller picture of the Holocaust we will be doing a book club with the focus of the Holocaust, survival and the power of hope. The funding of this project would allow my students to have a deeper understanding of the time after reading Night as a full class. This would allow for a paired text analysis along with interdisciplinary work as they learn about WWII in history!
