These activities are the perfect fit for my students with disabilities. They introduce real life problem solving skills through project-based learning in a way that is easy for them to understand and grasp. These kits come ready to use with provided lesson plans to help guide my teaching and their learning. Together, we will work through 3 unique challenges that will help students generalize and relate them to their everyday lives. These STEM kits will open the door to new ways of learning and will allow them to be challenged with real life problems in the safety of our classroom. Through hands-on learning they will explore the STEM concepts and improve their critical thinking abilities. These kits will be the start to our safety unit that will help students begin to think about the world in a different way. They will use these skills to help navigate throughout the world more safely and successfully. Because we will be learning the STEM design process in class, students will feel supported and not afraid to try something new with the opportunity to build on their designs and work together.
