We need a learning center with flexible seating. This will be used to help students in a small reading group get excited about reading. Flexible seating allows students to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. It also helps keep little minds more alert and focused. This flexible seating will allow students to share ideas and learn to read in a fun and exciting way while also giving them freedom to share ideas.
The STEM toys will be used during their free choice time. This is their favorite part of the day where they get to enjoy school, use their social skills, and learn to work with others. They will get to use these STEM activities to learn and explore the world around them while also using skills that they need to live in the world around them.
