As social and friendly as my students are, they need ways to build their relationships with peers and practice taking turns and solving problems. In the age of iPads, iPods, and iPhones, the only games my students learn to play are electronic.
I want to go back to the basics and teach them social skills through good old-fashioned board games! What better way to spend snack time than by chatting while playing a game of Chutes and Ladders (one of my favorites as a child!). These games will help remind my chatty class how to be good sports and good friends!
